Corpus Christi Reads

The Corpus Christi Literary Reading Series and Friends of Corpus Christi Public Libraries invite all Corpus Christians to participate in a city-wide reading program.

The inaugural book is Corpus Christi: Stories by Bret Anthony Johnston, published by Random House and available at bookstores now.

Mr. Johnston kicked-off the program by reading from his collection at the Executive Surf Club, on Sunday, July 11th, 2004.

There will be additional readings by Mr. Johnston: Harte Library, Saturday, September 18th, 2:00 p.m. Parkdale Library, Saturday, September 18th, 4:00 p.m, Central Library, Sunday, September 19th, 3:00 p.m.

Books will be available for purchase from Waldenbooks in advance at the store and at the readings. A portion of the proceeds will go to support the city reading program.

A limited number of T-shirts are available for purchase.
